"Stumbled upon Made Ya Smile while searching for a dentist that took my insurance. I called to set up an apt for my issue and they immediately got me in the next day! That rarely happens with dentist and pcps. Probably saved my issue from getting a lot worse. Everyone in the office was extremely friendly. The hospitality I received from the time I called to paying and leaving was outstanding. I will be using these guys from now on."- M.L. / Google / May 19, 2022

Who Is a Candidate for Lumineers?
An ideal smile makeover solution, Lumineers can correct cosmetic imperfections on your teeth or enhance the overall appearance of your smile. They can mask stained teeth, fill in small gaps between teeth, and hide chips, uneven edges, or misshapen teeth. You should keep in mind a few considerations prior to beginning the process of receiving Lumineers. Schedule a cosmetic consultation with our team to determine if Lumineers are the right option. It is important that patients who choose Lumineers have a healthy foundation.
Healthy gums and a cavity-free tooth structure are essential for treatment with Lumineers, because the attach to the front surfaces of the teeth that show when you smile. Your bite (how your upper and lower teeth meet) must also be in proper alignment for best results, as this treatment will not reposition your teeth. Often referred to as "instant orthodontics," Lumineers can hide minor concerns like slight crowding, gaps, and crooked teeth. To treat greater concerns like an overbite or underbite, orthodontics may be required. If you grind or clench your teeth (bruxism), Lumineers may not be right for you.
How Do Lumineers Work?
As a noninvasive cosmetic procedure, Lumineers require very little preparation. No drilling or anesthetic is necessary, and treatment with Lumineers is typically very comfortable. Your procedures will be completed in two visits. During your consultation or first visit, impressions of your teeth will be taken and sent to our special Lumineers lab for custom-fabrication. You will work with our dentist to determine the shade of white that fits your unique preferences and oral features. As no tooth enamel removal is required, you will not have to wear temporary restorations while you wait for your ultra-thin porcelain veneers to be created. In a week or two, your Lumineers will be complete and you will return so we can permanently bond them to your teeth. This procedure allows us to maintain your underlying tooth structure and help you receive a proper, comfortable fit. An instant smile solution, the Lumineers process is simple and pain-free.
How Can I Care for My Lumineers?
There is no recovery period for Lumineers as they do not require any removal of your tooth structure. You're free to simply enjoy your new smile as soon as your restorations are placed. We advise that you avoid chewing ice and biting down on hard objects like fingernails and pens, but because your Lumineers are bonded to your teeth with a strong cement, you can eat and drink whatever you prefer. Lumineers can last you for 20 years with proper care and maintenance. You will need to follow appropriate home care guidelines with brushing and flossing, just as you do with normal teeth, to keep your Lumineers in shape. Bi-annual cleaning and exam visits are also important to maintain oral health, and our dentist will examine your Lumineers during these visits to monitor their condition.
Are Lumineers Covered by Dental Insurance?
As an elective cosmetic treatment, dental insurance companies typically do not provide coverage benefits Lumineers. In order to personalize your care to meet your unique goals, our team at Made Ya Smile will review your treatment costs with you before beginning treatment with Lumineers. We accept several payment methods, to make your treatment convenient and affordable. Ask us about low-interest patients financing plans or other payment options to fit your budget.
What is the difference between veneers and Lumineers?
If you're trying to decide between Lumineers and veneers, you might wonder what the difference is, as they're both designed to mask and enhance minor imperfections on the teeth. Other than that, however, they're quite different. When you get veneers a portion of your tooth enamel is shaved off to make room for the veneers. When you get Lumineers teeth veneers, however, they are placed over the tooth so your natural enamel remains intact. If you're looking for ultra-thin veneers near you, we can help you better understand the differences between the two so you can make an informed decision.
Can I whiten my Lumineers?
Lumineers do not react to teeth whitening gels, pastes, or treatments. Therefore, when we create Lumineers we design them to match the shade of your natural teeth. If you want to whiten your teeth, we suggest you do so before you get your Lumineers.
Will my teeth decay under my Lumineers?
Your Lumineers should stay healthy and intact for years to come as long as you maintain proper hygiene routines. As normal, we suggest you brush and floss twice-daily and maintain your biannual dental appointments to help keep your Lumineers in great condition.
If you're looking for a smile upgrade, Lumineers may be the perfect choice for you. For many patients, these high-quality veneers can transform a dull or imperfect smile into an amazing one.
